Horses Placed

If you have a horse you are trying to place, or you are looking for a horse to aquire, please let me know, as I often hear of horses available for sale, and riders looking for a horse to buy or lease.

Aragorn (Airborne)

Picture
A 2003 Friesen/Appaloosa cross, Aragorn was a flashy, energetic horse with beautiful movement. He was also a blast to train.  One of the biggest training challenges with Aragorn was getting him to relax through his top line.  Once the dressage basics were solid, Aragorn was introduced to jumping and cross country, and he took an immediate liking to it.   Aragorn was placed in 2007 with a terrific pony club family in the south Denver area.

Starrry Night

Picture
Acquired as a starving, 10 year old, halter broke, registered Arabian gelding, Starrry proved that one can teach older horses from the ground up.  Born in 1996, Starrry was a high energy horse with plenty of spook in the beginning, but a quick learner.  Working with Starrry was challenging and fun and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of starting a 10 year old horse.  After capturing the basics in the arena, I started working Starrry on the trails and that was clearly where Starrry wanted to be.  He excelled on the trail, so my goal was to place him with an endurance rider.  In November of 2006, Starrry was placed with an endurance rider in Nebraska, and is enjoying long rides over the Great Plains.

Zwerglein

Picture
"Little Dwarf" is the translation of Zwerglein.   Standing around 16.2 hands and born in 1995, Zwerglein was a trakehner gelding with a friendly, bold, and curious personality.  A big, powerful mover, Zwerglein had the talent for both dressage and jumping.  A couldn't have been happier when Zwerglein was placed with Wiley, a dedicated dressage rider, who takes impeccable care of his horses.

Lakota (Easter)

Picture
Born in 2003 at our facility, Easter came into this world while the kids and I watched the entire birth.  1/2 percheron, 1/4 quarter horse, and 1/4 appaloosa, Easter managed to obtain the best features from each breed: the percheron size, the beautiful appaloosa blanket, and the quiet mind of the quarter horse.  Now known as Lakota, he and his new owner are successful competitors in the dressage discipline.

Shooter

Picture
Acquired from a family in Minnesota who raised this 1/2 percheron, 1/2 thoroughbred gelding,  Shooter was with us a short time before placed with a fox hunting family.  Very bold in his movement and demeanor, and brave over fences, Shooter eventually found a forever home where he could excel as an eventing horse.

Bunny

Picture
The kids named this horse "Bunny" because she was as sweet as a bunny to them.  She was probably the most level headed horse to ride too.  Bunny was nearly unflappable.  I remember riding her in a windstorm when a flying cardboard box hit Bunny in the shoulder.   Bunny barely flinched, and kept right on going through the blinding, blowing dirt - amazing!  Blessed with very smooth gaits and nice movement Bunny was well suited as a pleasure mount for the show ring, but she was also terrific on the trails.  Bunny was eventually placed as a 4-H mount for a young girl in Northern Colorado.

Argon's Flame

Picture
1996 Registered bay Arabian Argon was an athletic, beautiful gelding.  Built very correct and solid, Argon was high energy with a good mind, and enjoyed interacting with people.  We eventually traded Argon to Willowmere Farm Arabians http://www.willowmerefarm.com/ for Harley in the winter of 2008.  At Willowmere Farm, Argon fulfilled the role of patient and kind lesson horse for the new and inexperienced riders.  More photos to come...
